چکیده
Xylella fastidiosa, the causal agent of several diseases in crops economic interest, could be rapidly transmitted and spread throughout agroecosystem landscape by xylem sap-feeding insects. Chemical signals environment drive behaviour Attractive or repulsive responses to may affect insects’ fitness, survival reproduction, elicit different movement patterns. Specific patterns derived from olfactory cues towards selection plants for feeding trigger transmission pathogen insect. Thus, understanding vectors’ response parameters are utmost importance. This work aimed assess Philaenus spumarius Cicadella viridis adults two Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) (cis-3-hexenyl acetate cis-3-hexen-1-ol) present almond, olive vine leaves. Insects’ behavioural were conducted a four-arm olfactometer, aforementioned VOCs tested at concentrations (5, 10, 20 30 µg/µl). At lowest concentration, females P. significantly attracted VOCs. highest concentrations, no significant differences detected among treatments. individuals showed their choice any concentration. Additionally, walking these insects was also studied absence food. Females C. can walk more higher velocity than males. Knowledge X. fastidiosa vectors essential develop new tools limit this phytopathogen.

The meadow spittlebug, Philaenus spumarius L. (Hemiptera, Aphrophoridae) is a commonly found vector of Xylella fastidiosa Wells et al. (1987) strain subspecies pauca associated with the "Olive Quick Decline Syndrome" in Italy. This thesis describes efforts made on the development of an existing catalytic incinerator. The development work, called process characterization, consists of four general parts. These are the development of measurement methodology, the studying of construction materials, the selection of suitable catalysts and the testing of the effects of process operation conditions. The two application area...

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...
Correlation of human olfactory responses to airborne concentrations of malodorous volatile organic compounds emitted from swine effluent.
Direct multicomponent analysis of malodorous volatile organic compounds (VOCs) present in ambient air samples from 29 swine (Sus scrofa) production facilities was used to develop a 19-component artificial swine odor solution that simulated olfactory properties of swine effluent. Analyses employing either a human panel consisting of 14 subjects or gas chromatography were performed on the air str...
